Hanover High School Biology MCAS Information 5/24/22

This message contains information about the STE Biology MCAS scheduled for the week of May 30, 2022.
Who?
- 171 students in grade 9 will be taking the Biology MCAS test.
When?
- Wednesday, June 8th, and Thursday, June 9th.
- Students must be in school on both testing days.
- All tests will be taken on school-issued Chromebooks.
Where?
- There will be signs posted in the foyer so you know which room to go to for your test.
- Most of the testing rooms will be on the 3rd floor (rooms 301-317).
- A few conference rooms in Guidance and in the Main Office will be used as well.
How?
- All tests will be taken on school-issued Chromebooks.
- Scratch paper is allowed.
Student Priorities Before the Test
- Practice MCAS test questions.
- Look for High School Biology Practice Tests and select Computer-Based Practice Tests.
The Day of the Test
- Please make sure that you are well-rested, have a good breakfast, and report to school on time.
- Wear comfortable clothes.
- Arrive at your testing location on time and with a positive and productive mindset.
- Try hard, go after every point.
- Bring a book to read in case you finish early.
During the Test
- Other than the school-issued Chromebook, electronic devices are not allowed.
- Cell phones and smartwatches must be off and stowed away (not on your person).
- Listen to the proctor's instructions, read all directions carefully, and ask questions if any directions are unclear.
- If you get stuck on any one item, skip it, you can bookmark it and return to it later.
- Read all questions carefully, and try to reread them, before answering.
- Check your answers for accuracy.
