Hanover High School Current Remote Learning 12/19/20

As you know, the decision has been made to learn remotely up to the Holiday break.  As with Friday, a number of factors contributed to this decision.

At the beginning of the year, we had put together (1) plans to re-open in a hybrid model and (2) plans to teach in a full-remote capacity.  Since we are learning remotely from now until the Holiday break, we will be adopting daily schedules associated with our current plans to learn remotely.  Please see below:

On Monday and Tuesday next week, faculty and administration will be discussing the design of our daily bell schedule moving forward, especially the nature and structure of our expectations, operations, and logistics upon return from break.

For now, all periods will be meeting each of the next 3 days.  It’s a B-day cycle (Monday – Tuesday), and Wednesday will be an A-day cycle.  If they haven’t already, teachers will be communicating with students via Google Classroom and/or email informing them of lesson plans for these days, providing all information required to hold remote/virtual classes.  Please remind students that these next 3 days are considered official days-of-learning (Wednesday’s schedule is abbreviated).  Attendance and full participation are expected.

Again – so you’re aware – next week, faculty and administration will be discussing the design of our daily bell schedule moving forward, especially the nature and structure of our expectations, operations, and logistics upon return from break.

Eighth Grade Open House

In the meantime – as you know – we couldn’t hold a traditional 8th grade Open House for obvious reasons.  Instead, we collected past 8th grade Open House video presentations and interwove them into one, new introductory video that recognizes faces from the past, takes a look at the present, and invites current 8th graders to “take a seat” in the future here at Hanover High School.  Please take a moment to enjoy this fun and informative virtual walk-through of Hanover High School.  Remind our current 8th graders that, “there’s a seat for [them]” at HHS!!!  Enjoy!

Have a nice weekend everyone.  Please be well.  Please be safe.
