Hanover High School News 3/26/20

First and foremost, I hope all is well at home with you and your families.  I wish each of you happiness – and most of all, I wish each of you the best of health and wellness.

Given the extension of our school closure, I’ll continue to communicate with everyone often – and I’ll certainly be communicating more frequently throughout these more immediate and rapidly changing days ahead.  Also in light of the extension, the State is currently offering guidelines and suggestions for schools in all areas of education, and we’re using those guidelines and suggestions to inform our collective approach to home and remote learning.  I look forward to sharing these approaches with you in the coming days.

Right now on the most fundamental level, I want to circle back around and ensure that each student is equipped with a laptop, chromebook, or some devise to access and to sustain educational pursuits during this extended period of remote learning.  To that end, if you’re in need of a devise for this purpose, please email me and let me know.  I’ll be at the high school main office from 8:00 – 11:00 am on both Monday and Tuesday mornings next week (30th and 31st) to provide a chromebook to anyone with an expressed temporary need for one.

As safety and well-being continue to be our shared top priority, I ask that if you arrive at the high school on Monday or Tuesday morning with other people, please allow only one person to enter the building.  We only need one person to sign-out a chromebook, so there’s no need to bring friends or family members with you into the high school.  (It’s not that I don’t want to see them, it’s just good practice right now).  I appreciate your understanding.

That’s it for now.  Be warm.  Be safe.
