Back to School 2020-2021

As promised, I am reaching out regarding any needs for school-issued Chromebooks.  First, however, I need to correct an inaccurate number given in my previous correspondence.  Earlier, I wrote:

“Although HHS normally requires students to maintain at least 25 credits in their schedules, we are prepared to reduce the minimum to 20 credits if necessary (and feasible) for juniors and seniors this year only.”

The corrected statement reads:

“Although HHS normally requires students to maintain at least 35 credits in their schedules, we are prepared to reduce the minimum to 30 credits if necessary (and feasible) for juniors and seniors this year only.”

We’ll still expect 35 credits per schedule, but in the rare event we need to adjust in some instance – we’re prepared to ensure that any exceptions will not jeopardize graduation requirements.  As mentioned, we’re scheduling students in light of cohort considerations, space restrictions, and safety protocols, which are, added challenges.  We simply want to make certain that we equip all students with all of the courses they need regardless of these challenges.  I apologize for the inaccuracy.

Chromebooks

Although we are encouraging and expecting our students to bring personal devices to school on a daily basis - such as Chromebooks or laptops, some students may be in need of assistance acquiring a device.

Please complete this survey if you are in need of a school-issued Chromebook.

We will do our best to accommodate these needs, and will establish and communicate a method of distribution based on survey results. Please use this form for each child in need of a Chromebook: https://forms.gle/svP6NNi1epB4gY5S6.

Thank you,
