Hanover High School News and Updates 1/3/22

I am hopeful that you and yours enjoyed a restful and relaxing break with your families, and now we are on to 2022!  Hopefully, it will be better than the last few years.

As an immediate FYI, HHS has been experiencing shaky and intermittent Internet service, which has limited some of our in-school work and postings to Google classrooms.  This issue is being worked on as you are reading this notice, and we hope it will be resolved ASAP.

This is a mid-year reminder that we need your assistance with regards to academic achievement, daily attendance, and accountability with disciplinary actions of all HHS students.  Our aim is to be in constant collaboration with families in the best interests of all students.  Please accept this note as a reminder to seek out your child’s guidance counselors and teachers as needed for academic and/or emotional supports for your child.  Please see their contact information below.

With this collaboration in mind, please know that we are hopeful to receive your assistance with reminding students to fulfill basic HHS obligations, including the following:

  • Timely return of their library books.
  • Timely return of their uniforms after a season is complete.
  • Prompt serving of whatever detentions they may receive (e.g. teacher detentions for classroom infractions, or office detentions for tardiness).

Also, please encourage your child to participate in one of our many clubs and organizations that HHS has to offer, as we strongly feel that “A Connected Student is a Better Student!” View our list of clubs and organizations.
