Hanover High School Prism LitMag 10/11/22

Your literary magazine, found at https://theprism.medium.com, is going to be undergoing a transformation. We are going to become the source at our school for things related to books and book culture. What does that mean for you? It means we are looking for many new things! Read below for some examples of things we are looking for. Send your materials to theprism@hanoverstudents.org.

  • Bookshelf Pictures: Show us what your bookshelves look like!
  • Top 10 Lists: Do you have a top ten that relates to books? Top ten novels where the protagonist is a dog? Top ten novels that feature red planets? Send it to us.
  • Photographs: Do you have photographs of a literary place? An image that looks like it came out of a book? We want to see it.
  • Drawings: We are looking for all illustrations! Any sort that you can think of, we would like to publish, ranging from full cartoons to single drawings.
  • Choose Your Own Adventure Stories: Want to write in second person point of view? Always wondered if that was possible when you were learning about it in English classes? Try it out!
  • Literary Recipes: We have many cooks in our midst. Do you have any literary recipes? Recipes that Jane Eyre might have on the dinner table? Recipes that Bilbo Baggins might serve in Hobbiton? Let us share them with the community.
  • Literary Travelogues: Have you been somewhere featured in a work of literature? Tell us about it!
  • Other Ideas: Have another idea that isn't listed here but you think would fit? Send it to us! Our editors are here for that specific purpose.

All of those, plus the standard submissions of poetry and fiction, are welcome in the new Prism Literary Magazine. As always, both students and staff are welcome to send materials. Please make sure you send submissions to theprism@hanoverstudents.org.

Thank you,

Mr. Henderson
