Hanover High School PSAT Update 11/18/20
I hope this week is moving along nicely for you, and everyone is taking care to be well and to be safe.
I want to follow up on the opportunities we’re providing for Hanover students to access the preliminary SAT (PSAT). Earlier this year, we offered current juniors the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT in October. We would like to announce that we are now offering the PSAT 10 for interested sophomores.
The PSAT 10 is similar to the PSAT/NMSQT. It has SAT question-types and the same content: Reading, Writing, and Math; however, the PSAT 10 is specifically designed for sophomores. This exam will be held in the February-March 2021 timeframe. Once registrations have been received, we’ll announce the exact date of the assessment. Regardless of student cohort, registration is open to any sophomore interested in taking the exam. Given our current health crisis, we are not mandating students take the PSAT 10; instead, the assessment is offered on a voluntary basis.

As a reminder, Hanover High School will also be providing a final opportunity for current juniors (Class of 2022) to take the PSAT on January 26th. Regardless of student cohort, registration is open to any junior interested in taking the preliminary SAT. Students who took the PSAT in October are NOT eligible to take the January PSAT.
