Introducing Hanover High School Principal, Mr. Matthew Mattos

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Matthew Mattos as our next Hanover High School Principal. Mr. Mattos has over 30 years of experience in public education as a high school teacher and administrator. For the past 16 years, he has served as the principal of Taunton High School. Mr. Mattos is a proven leader from a large and diverse school system who will bring new ideas and experiences to our school community as we continue to move out of the pandemic and refocus our efforts and energy on moving HHS forward. We will arrange a staff and community “meet and greet” session before the school year begins in just a few weeks. Watch for more information about this event.

I am grateful for the time and efforts of the dedicated team of volunteers that served on the HHS Principal Screening Committee reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and forwarding great candidates for consideration. They did an excellent job throughout this process and surrendered many hours of summer fun to participate in this important work. Thank you!

Mr. Mattos will be starting in his new role before the end of the summer, and he will be ready to go when our staff and students arrive. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Mattos to the Hanover School Community. We are excited to begin this next chapter at HHS. Please have an enjoyable weekend.

Sincerely,

Matt Ferron
Superintendent
