Two-Hour Delayed Opening for Tuesday, February 28, 2023

At this time, we are announcing a two-hour delayed opening for tomorrow morning, February 28, 2023, for all Hanover public schools. Before-school care will be open one hour later than the normal start time. There will be no half-day kindergarten and no preschool.

I know many of you have been waiting all winter for the first snow day of the season. Many others would prefer to avoid any snow days and enjoy a warm day off in June instead. It is a debate that spans generations, and both sides have a strong argument for which is preferred. Either way, keeping people safe is our priority.

We will confer with the Hanover DPW, Hanover Police, and Hanover Fire early tomorrow morning to evaluate road conditions and any changes to the forecast. If any changes to this plan are warranted, we will share that information via our normal communication platforms as early as possible in the morning.
