Winter Weather Update

As you may be aware, the weather forecast calls for some light snow late Thursday evening - a “winter appetizer” as some meteorologists have called it.  Hopefully, we won’t need to put our winter weather procedures to use just yet as it presently does not appear to be a serious weather situation.

Unfortunately snow, ice, and cold will be part of our routine for the next few months, and we will work hard to communicate cancellations, delays, and any changes to our activity schedules.  Making decisions around the cancellation of school and school events is an incredibly stressful task, but one that we take very seriously.  It is always preferable to open school on time and to keep our activities on schedule, but we will put the safety of our students, staff, and families first in the event of dangerous weather conditions.  Your understanding and support is greatly appreciated.  For more information about winter weather issues and our procedures, please visit: Winter Weather Procedures

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for helping us safely navigate the weather related challenges winter in Hanover brings each year.

Sincerely,

Matt Ferron
Superintendent of Schools
