Hanover High School's "The Pig Parade": March, 2009

Art students at Hanover High School have participated in a special artistic endeavor called "The Pig Parade".

Over 40 students who take Ceramics and Sculpture I classes have created paper-mâché pigs inspired by CowParade.

CowParade is the largest and most successful international public art exhibit in the world and has been in over 50 cities worldwide including Chicago in 1999, New York City in 2000, London in 2002, Toyko in 2003, Dublin in 2003, and Boston in 2006. It is estimated that over 100 million people around the world have seen one of the famous cows.

For more information about CowParade, and to view galleries, visit www.cowparade.com.

The pigs began their journey in the school's library and then throughout the community in town buildings, local stores, and restaurants for a period of two weeks.
