Student parking at Hanover High School is limited and by permit only. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate every student who receives a driver’s license throughout the course of the school year. As a result, students may participate in a parking spot lottery on a first-come first-serve basis. Once a permit is issued, students are required to park in their assigned parking spot only. Parking will not be allowed in any other location on campus. Violations of this policy can result in loss of parking privileges and disciplinary consequences in accordance with the HHS student handbook. Students who are not issued a permit will be given the opportunity to park on campus after the senior class graduates. Thank you for your continued cooperation in making parking at HHS both safer and easier.
Students Parking at Hanover High School Must:
- The student must submit an updated Student Parking Contract in order to participate in the parking lottery. You may download the contract or obtain the form in the main office.
- The main office will be open for the parking lottery on the following dates from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Wednesday, August 14th, Thursday, August 15th, and Thursday, August 29th. The student will participate a random parking lottery. Students who bring a completed contract and a valid diver’s license will choose three lottery tickets designating possible parking spots. Looking at a parking lot map, students will then choose from those three options. If additional spots remain after the summer lottery, students may participate in the parking lottery as they attain their license until all spots are assigned.
- The student will receive a parking permit from an office staff member to display on the car’s rear view mirror whenever the car is parked on campus.
