Hanover Public Schools Transportation Update 6/9/21
As we prepare for the 2021-2022 school year, I wanted to set everyone's mind at ease regarding transportation services for next year. We are planning for transportation to be “back to normal”. As we had done prior to COVID-19, all students in grades K-8 will be provided a seat on the bus automatically. There will be no need to sign up for a space on the bus as we had to do last summer. Your student will be automatically assigned a seat and we will release the list of bus stops in August.
High school students may sign up for transportation for a $300 annual fee. A notice will be sent to parents of high school students over the summer with instructions.
In a couple of weeks, I will be sending a form allowing parents/guardians to OPT-OUT of transportation for the 2021-2022 school year if they choose in order to help with planning for our bus routes. If you do not respond to that notice, your student, grades K-8, will be assigned a space on the bus automatically.
Do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions by sending an email to traab@hanoverschools.org.
We're in the homestretch.
Stay well,
Tom Raab
