Hanover High School Vaccination Rate/Update 1/26/22
Many families have inquired about our current student and staff vaccination rates as it pertains to the 80% “off-ramp” threshold that DESE set forth for under the mask requirement protocol. Once a school reaches an 80% vaccination rate for all staff and students, the district may apply to DESE (with School Committee approval) to be mask-optional in that individual school moving forward.
As of today, the total vaccination rate for Hanover High School is 77% and it breaks down as follows (rounded):
Census | # Fully Vaccinated | |
---|---|---|
HHS Active Students | 712 | 524 |
HHS Staff (Regularly Present in the Building) | 131 | 128 |
Total Students and Staff HHS | 843 | 652 |
Percent Student | 74% | |
Percent Staff | 98% | |
Percentage of Students and Staff | 77% |
Cedar School, Center School, and Hanover Middle School aggregate vaccination rates are currently less than 60%, but this number changes daily. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep families informed of any updates in the near future.
