Cedar School Little Stars Program

Program Description

The Little Stars Program at Cedar Elementary School provides a comprehensive education in a therapeutic classroom environment for students with social-emotional challenges and/or learning disabilities.  The goal is to provide social, emotional, academic, and therapeutic supports to prepare students for successful inclusion opportunities.  Instruction is differentiated, research-based, and focused on maximizing students’ success in all curriculum areas.  Environmental structure and positive behavioral supports, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodology, are individualized to enhance students’ ability to process and communicate information.  These supports promote the cognitive development, self-regulation, social growth, and independence that students require to be successful in the classroom.
